On Monday we had a great P-day and ended the night by going to the White's for dinner and are working with their family on inviting their friends to the Gospel.
On Tuesday we talked with Brother Wroten who is 19 and been less active since he was about 9. He opened up and let us know that he has a hard time understanding the scriptures so we are going to help him with that and he said he would start coming back to church in a couple weeks. We then went and talked with Sister Mason a less-active member who has been having some health problems recently. We stopped by Brother Brant who is a great example of a truly dedicated member because he is 98 and still drives himself to church every week. We then went on trade offs that night and Brother Horst and I visited Sister Ward and taught the 1st lesson. She ended up coming to church and enjoyed it.
Wednesday we had a great Zone Conference which I was very uplifted and it left me pondering over many great things. We then had dinner with Sister Holly Tew's family and talked about a part member family they are wanting to invite over to dinner the next time we come over. We then went on trade-offs and Elder Jensen and I went and visited Brother and Sister Reeves while Elder Barlow and Brother Beattie visited Brother Matt Sheppard.
Thursday we were able to plan a little bit before we went and visited Sister Atisme and she is trying to see how she can help her husbands heart be softened to where he will accept the Gospel. He has had a few difficulties in the past with things that he has either heard or read. We then went and taught Debbie one of Sister Toolan's friends but we are still not sure how well she is going to commit. We had activity night that night and had 5 non members there and are working on setting up appointments with 3 of them.
Friday we went and visited Jo Nguyen and discussed questions and the topics that the spirit directed as we asked her about how she felt. We discussed Alma 32 and asked her how she felt about the story within. She felt that it was all true and we committed her to continue to read and pray. We went and visited Curtis and will be setting up an appointment with him later this week. We then went and visited the Ballards because they have been having a rough time and helped bring some peace into their lives. We also tracted throughout out the day and found some great potentials and also found Agnus who we will be seeing this week.
Saturday we spent most of the Day doing allot of great service. We were able to get out and help the Pearman's, Robard's, and the Jones families. We also went and continued by helping Brother Toolan with allot of different things that needed to be done around the yard that he needed help with. That night we visited the Walker's who are being re-activated. They are doing well and it is great.
Sunday we had our normal meetings and had 4 investigators at church. Brother Dukes, Brother and Sister Gorby, and Chris. We also made a few calls and were able to set up appointments with Liz, Johnson's, Sister Ward, Steele's, and Brother Hunt. All of which are either investigators and less-active members. We had a fireside that night which Liz one of our investigators went to. It went really well and the spirit was so strong.

This past week has been really great even with all the sicknesses and trials that have been thrown right at us. I am especially grateful for the commitment that I made to read the Book of Mormon while marking the Promises in the 2 months that was asked. I feel such a deep compassion and love for the Book of Mormon. I have felt my faith increase and my understanding grow as I have dove into it's pages. I have felt the firm understanding of the importance of Prophets and Apostles and the Priesthood Power. I can truly say as Elder Holland so testified yesterday that I know without a shadow of a Doubt that the Book of Mormon is the most Powerful and Rewarding Book that brought me closer to the Saviour and I now that it is True. This past week as you know has been a little different as Elder Barlow was in the Hospital but the Lord always prepares a way for us to do his Will.
On Monday we did a little bit of service during our P day and had quite a few great visit with members.
On Tuesday we had district meeting which went well and we continued to personalize and apply Book Of Mormon stories to help investigators. That night we went on trade-offs with Brother Beattie and Brother Corbin and got to visit many less actives that we are setting up to teach the lessons to again.
On Wednesday we talked with the Gorby's and had a really great visit and were able to discern a few of their needs as we are going to continue to teach them about this great gospel. I ended up going to Doctor Roberts office and found out that I had the Swine Flu so we had to go back to the apartment and I rested and studied for awhile.
On Thursday we picked up Elder Barlow out of the hospital and went back and planned for the upcoming week. We made calls within both wards to try and set up appointments with less active and part member families. We were not able to leave the apartment until about 5 when I got permission to go out because I had to wait out the Contagious period. We had some great visits with members and had a good activity that night.
On Friday we started of the day visiting Jo one of our media referrals and had a great discussion with her. I truly do feel that the Lord has prepared her to do something special. She is truly knowledgeable and ready to accept the gospel as she receives that confirming witness from the spirit. We tracted for a few hours and had no success but it was great just being able to enjoy doing the Lord's work. We visited Sister Price a less active member and will be teaching her the lessons again very soon. That night we went on trade offs and visited less active members and invited them and our investigators to conference.
On Saturday we enjoyed conferences and the messages were great. God's Love was apparent in the talks and in our hearts. We visited a few of our investigators who had been watching from home and just followed up with them on some of the talks and questions they had.
On Sunday we enjoyed conference once again and I loved how the messages of Obedience struck into strengthening all aspects of our lives including all the different traits involved with Virtue. I received so many great promptings and only wish that conference could just continue. I received a great confirming witness of those promptings and have already begun to really apply and deepen my understanding of them. We taught Junior later that night the 10 commandments and the Word of Wisdom and he committed to them with no hesitation.

Huie mora is good morning in Africaans. I love the Africaans language but I am moving to much with different kinds of people to pick much of it up. Well this has been alright I finally made it to Namibia and I was able to watch the conference on satellite broadcast. I don't have to pay for the time on the computer so I can type a little bit more now. This week has had a lot of things happen though. On Monday we had a combined p-day with both the Cape South zone and the Cape North zone where we played some dodgeball at the Mobray chapel in Cape Town. We also watched a great movie that tied in with zone conference the next day called, defeating the giants. We did some work that night in Maccassar with the colored people and Elder Hajarijoana spent some time with the Conrade family. On Tuesday we had our zone conference at Somerset West where we talked about aligning our will with Heavenly
Fathers and how Moses did such as in the pearl of great price. President Probst ceases to amaze me with how he applies principles of the gospel. We discussed a lot in just the first book of Moses how many principles in the gospel can be applied and how especially we are blessed to have this extract which Joseph Smith translated during the difficult times that the church was facing in 1830. I am grateful for Moses and the man he was to give up his earthly possessions to see all that the Father has and the glory that was given to him by the Father, when he was willing and most especially how we apply his teachings into our lives. It was a great lesson and I was able to participate in both of the zone conferences with Cape South on Tuesday and the Namibia zone conference on Friday. Elder Hajarijoana and did find a nice family the Cats family, we were able to teach them that night after the zone conference and then go to the ward correlation in Sommerset with Brother Andrew White. On Wednesday in the morning we went to the doctor Elder Wilson had to get a hep shot, I had to go to the eye doctor I had an infection in my eye that was getting bad. We had some difficulty finding a doctor that I could just see to get some droplets but we finally found somewhere that wasn't booked. I was hoping I would never have to see a doctor but it was still something pretty minor that could of gotten worse. We got the call Wednesday afternoon saying our visas had come and we would leave the Thursday afternoon. We did some tracting in the Ferngrove area by Macassar and we did bless a lot of people in the area and set up some return appointments for the other Elders when we would leave. On Thursday we had to go shop with the other Elders and then meet at the Somerset chapel so we could go with the office elders to the airport. Our flight was at 3:20 and the three of us me, Elder Hajarijoana and Elder Cobia that went to Namibia. We made it to Windhoek at about 5:30. their was a lot of turbulence and it seemed like their was a sand storm outside, it was the bumpiest plane ride I've ever been on, even the flight attendant said it was pretty bad with all the flights she has been on. President and Sister Probst was there to welcome us and we went from there straight to the chapel in Windhoek. Windhoek is basically in the middle of a desert and it is a town of about 300 thousand people. The country itself has only about 2.2 million. It is hot here and I got here just in the start of summer so it will hit about 100 degrees. Since I have been here, I am surprised that there is not one member of the branch that was really white or africaans. There are a few coloured people in the branch but it mainly consists of blacks. In Namibia their are the two branches one in Katatura and the other in Windhoek. They are both mission branches and President Charles is our branch president he is a returned missionary from Johannussburg and has a young family. Bro. Licious is our branch mission leader and the guy is pretty cool. The Namibia zone is smaller with only 12 elders in the country and 6 missionaries per branch. Elder Haugen is my companion and he is from San Clemente, California. We have a sweet area. The Windhoek South area and the President of the country is just a few miles from our flat. Since I've been here there are a lot of different languages that are tribal, from Shona to Portuguese but not any Xhosas. I will have to update you more on the languages and people as we continue to visit and see them. The food here is more expensive and it is a little more high class than South Africa as I see the wealth distributed. We had our Namibia zone conference on the Friday and then watched on Saturday at 6pm the Saturday morning session. On Sunday we watched the priesthood session at 11am and then the Saturday afternoon session at 2 pm. We taught some investigators like Swano from Botswana at the church from the time of 4-6 and then watched the Sunday morning session at 6pm. We weren't able to watch the Sunday afternoon session unless we could of stayed until 10 so I will just wait and buy the dvds. The conference was sweet though I can apply a lot of things in my life. good morning,
Well it sounds like you had a good week. This week hasn't been to bad. we are still in Somerset West just helping the Somerset Elders. Elder Hajarijoana and I are still waiting for our visas to come and I have a feeling I might be in Somerset West for some time I wish I could go back to Hermanus. Elders that have gone to Namibia have waited almost the whole transfer sometimes for visas to come. Things are going well though. We are in a small boarding in Sommerset with the four of us here. The area is huge that we cover and this week we have tried to get more of a teaching pool so all four of us can stay busy all of the time. We basically have half the area of Somerset West and also the town of Stellonbosch to cover. Somerset West area is considered one of the wealthiest parts of the whole cape so it makes white area tracting more difficult. We have mainly been working with the coloured people in Maccassar. It is a rougher part of town but through being guided we can find the prepared people who will hear our message. In Stellonbosch we have mainly been working in the township of Khaymandi and working amongst the coloreds. a lot of people in Stellonbosch are either retired or university students so we don't spend much time in the commercialized area. It is great to be able to work with the recent converts of the ward and see how they are converted to the atonement in their lives. Brother Delouw is a champion. He used to be a Muslim but he has been forsaken by his family and friends to be apart of the Church of Jesus Christ. He doesn't have a job or anything to do so he stays home and reads church literature. He works with us quite often to help us teach the people in the area. This upcoming week we will have zone conference where we will learn how to set goals to help benefit the people in our areas and how we can use our time more effectively in Somerset West chapel. well I hope you all have a good week.

This week has been very Interesting with Elder Barlow getting sick but also seeing that the work will continue to Endure through anything that my be thrown in our way.
On Monday we had a great p-day getting prepared for a few lessons that we had that night. I went to the Corbin's home and taught her the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Word of Wisdom. We also committed her to pray to Know if baptism is the next step for her. Elder Barlow and Jensen went and visited another couple and less actives that lived close to them.
On Tuesday we traveled to Defuniak and had a great district meeting. I received some great direction. As we traveled back we tried to visit all the less actives on the way back and we were able to talk with few of them. We then went to the Royce's home and talked with the kids and read a bit of scriptures with them and continued to encourage them to read and pray every night. We then went to the Toolans to get a few things so we could prepare for our splits that night. We all split of and visited 7 different less active families in the 2nd ward.
On Wednesday we started off by seeing Misty in the Hospital because she had some complications with some medicine that she had been taking. We then went and visited Sister Thompson and had a great visit. Elder Barlow started to feel a little under the weather so we let him sleep and just made calls and set up appointments. We did on a few trade offs later that night and were able to visit a few more less active families in both wards and had great success with them.
On Thursday Elder Barlow was still not feeling well so we planned and I spent about 4 hours making calls before we took him into the Doctors. We then tried to get him to get his X ray but they had already closed so when we were getting his medicine at Walmart we contacted a little bit.
On Friday he hadn't improved so we took him to Doctor Roberts office and then we took him to the Hospital and got him admitted. That night we went on Trade-offs and Elder Jensen went and visited the Angeles family, while Elder Tolley, Anderson, and I went to Brother Phillips home for his Baptismal Interview.
On Saturday we started the Day of with Brother Phillips Baptism which went well and the spirit was so strong at the service. We immediately left to do service at the Fehlman's. Sister Fehlman is doing allot better and she was out walking around again. We followed that with a visit to the Sheets and mowed her grass and cleaned our her garage. We then visited Misty and she is doing allot better. After we went and visited Elder Barlow in the Hospital and took him up a few things.
On Sunday we had our normal meeting with the ward leaders and had a great time at church hearing all the little kids bear such a sweet, pure, and powerful testimonies. Oh how amazing they truly are. We had 5 investigators at church and were able to get an appointment set up with the Gorby's so we will be teaching them on Wednesday. We went and taught Brother Howe and his Sister the Restoration. They are less active members. We then split of and visited the Devine's and also taught Junior Dukes about the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the End. We then had dinner with the Mozina's and went and administered the sacrament to Elder Barlow.

Hello family,
Thanks for the emails, it sounds like it has been a busy week. It is good to here that Aiden and Ashley are doing well. Mom thanks for being an angel and for the letters, they help me get through the tough weeks. Well this week has been kind of strange and new. I got transfer news on Tuesday and I am going to Windhoek, Namibia. I was expecting to fly out on Thursday early in the morning but because of the delay of obtaining our visas Elder Hajarijaona from Madagascar and me are staying in Somerset West. Elder Haj and I will just stay companions in Somerset West until we leave to Namibia which could be this week to three weeks time. I was sad to leave Hermanus though. I didn't even get to say goodbye to anyone because of the quick news except for the Beals and President Mackinnon. President Mackinnon say Hermanus is the Celestial kingdom in which I truly believe. Anywhere else must be of exaltation or of a lesser degree but I feel it is an honor and privilege to serve there which is a seldom opportunity. Yesterday I was able to attend the Cape Town stake conference which I didn't think I would be able to because of the news but it was great to attend and feel the spirit there and see the recent converts of Hermanus attend as well. President and Sister Probst spoke at the conference and the chapel was full with many filling the relief society room. Something that President Probst said in the conference that I liked was promised blessings only come through unforced obedience, the full blessings do not come through forced obedience, the kingdom of God can only be obtained by aligning our will with Gods will. I love to hear him speak, he is a man of God. We are staying in a four person boarding and mainly working the areas of Maccasar and Stellonbosch. We have had some success and some miracles this week which has been good. Well have a good week.

Regan September 21, 2009
Monday was a really great day. Not only it being p-day but that night we were able to have a lesson with Regan and Liz. We taught the Restoration and how to mark the promises in the Book Of Mormon. They both caught on really quick and were excited about the promises that it had to offer. We then went and visited Brother Sanders our ward mission leader in the 1st ward. We discussed ways to involve the members and really focused on a direction on how to best have stronger unity with the leaders.
Tuesday we traveled to Defuniak Springs for district meeting. We did a few role plays and really were able to prepare ourselves for later on in the day with the appointments we had. That night I went with Brother Cooksey to his house to teach Brother Phillips about temples and go over the Baptismal Interview questions. He will be getting baptized this Saturday and it is exciting. He is very focused on the next step of going to the temple and being sealed.
Wednesday we went to transfer spots to see Elder Gudmundson off and meet Elder Tolley's new companion. We then went and tracted in an apartment complex and found 2 great people. We set up an appointment with both Jamie and Billie. We then went to the Royce's home and did some service and helped with some Yard work. We went over to the Corbin's home and had an amazing Plan of Salvation lesson. The spirit directed us to pray with her and the spirit was there very strongly. We are considering committing her to baptism shortly.
Thursday we planned and got 7 appointments set up with Investigators and less active members. We will now be splitting 3 ways this coming Tuesday so we can go and teach all of the appointments and we have great ward support with the High Priests. We had dinner with the Seager family and then went to activity night and there were 4 non-members there.
Friday the morning time was slow because I went to Doctor Roberts for a visit. We then went and visited the Baker family in the 1st ward who are a less active-part member family. We shared a great message our of 3 Nephi 11 on the verses we have been studying lately and we are hoping that instills a desire with Terenzio to want to learn more. We had a lesson with Brittany and it went well. We taught and then watched the Restoration DVD. That night her and the Toolan family watched the Testaments DVD with 2 other non-member friends.
Saturday we traveled to the Fehlman's and chopped some wood up for about 30 minutes then we discussed Abraham 4-5 with him. It has been great being able to read and study in the Pearl of Great Price with him. We then went with Brother Beattie and helped Sister Rodgers move into her new home. We had dinner with the Harrison family which was great and we are happy that Sister Harrison is coming back to church and fired up about her new calling in Family History.
Sunday we had 4 investigators at church and 2 of them came for the 1st time. The Coopers called us on Saturday and said they found our pass-a-long card with our number on it and called to see if we could get them for church. We got them a ride and we also set up an appointment to teach them today. Misty Royce and Junior Dukes were also at church. That afternoon we taught Junior Dukes about Repentance and Baptism. He is progressing well and he picked out his day to get baptized on December 31, so we are keeping weekly contact to make sure he is still reading and growing so he does not fall away from his goal. We had dinner with Brother Breen who is less-active and met his girlfriend Megan. We will be teaching her in the future which is exciting.
This week had been really great. We had our short comings, but we were able to work through them together and become better in the Service of our Lord.

Hello family,
Sorry I didn’t write last week I was kind of frustrated with how the week went. I just get tired of all the lies and rejection we receive each day it gets old fast. I am grateful for the Beals though they have been a blessing in my life while I have been here and we continue to help each other through different circumstances to help us through the difficult times of being depressed. I understand that the hard times just make someone stronger. I have grown a lot in Hermanus by relying on Heavenly Father. Hermanus is far away from everyone else and the challenges we encounter are different in there own unique way. Member referrals aren’t working very well in the area but we have continued to have good success in the dvd handouts finding faith in Christ and families can be together forever. We have been able to see many people change their hearts because of these dvds and message of the restoration. This week we had Sebuleles baptism, it was great to see that he made the decision in his life to make this choice by asking Heavenly Father in prayer and receiving a specific answer from his specific question. I had the privilege of talking at the occasion, and we didn’t have another flood. Sebuleles uncle Wellington baptized him and it was a goal we wanted to see because of the example that Wellington has portrayed on his nephew Sebu. It is great for me because I have been able to teach him all the lessons to baptisms and witness his growth. We found two great guys this week from Malawie and I can just tell by the way they speak and their interest in the gospel that they will be baptized in the near future. Their names are Rolex and Charles, they are brothers who both have the desire to know more. We have tried to find more success in the white areas of Hermanus like West Cliff and North Cliff, but it is just a matter of finding the prepared people by being guided by the spirit of where to go. When a missionary brings up the word Joseph Smith or Book of Mormon all the interest of the person just shuts off, but it is great when you can enter into a white persons home and share a message with them. Because of racial issues of the africaans people, many of the black Elders have a hard time entering the homes ,which I have seen with Elder Manuwere since he has been here with us. There are a few homes that we haven’t been able to go into since Elder Manuwere has been with us. He is a great missionary though and teaches excellent despite the racial problems. I am grateful for the prayers of the many people you can truly see they help when in doubt. Well this week is looking a lot better and for us. We have many appointments and also transfers are this week. I am hoping I will get to stay here for six months even though it is sometimes difficult.

Regan September 14, 2009
This week has been the most spiritual and growing week that I feel that I have had so far on my mission.
On Monday we delivered a referral for a Book of Mormon to Yolanda Jones. We then went and taught Brother Wood the Restoration which went good. We then went and taught Ben and Mekala the Restoration and it went well. We then had dinner with Bishop Roberts and the White family. We have a really good friendship with their families.
On Tuesday we had our P-day last week because of the Holiday. That night we went on splits with Bishop Price and Brother Perry and visited 5 different less active families.
On Wednesday we had District Meeting which was a very great strengthening tool. We visited Sister Gray and helped her with some service. We then visited the Hansen's to see how Bennita was doing to see when they wanted us to teach her again. I went on splits with Brother Beattie and visited the Lemasters and the Hutchins who are both less active families.
On Thursday we began planning and set some really good goals that were definitely going to test us. We went to visit Trudy but she was not home so we went to visit a few less actives. That night we had activity night and we had great ward support and 3 non-members there.
On Friday we had the Opportunity to have Elder Gonzalez of the 70 come and direct us in matters of support. I received some great things that I have now began to apply in my life now. We went to the Walker family and did service and continued to get everything planned for Maeson's baptism.
On Saturday we went over to the Fehlman's and helped chop up wood as service. We then discussed Abraham 2 & 3 and answered questions that he had. We went and taught Brother Wood again and discussed temple blessings and they had some great questions. That night Maeson's Baptism went great. The spirit was strong and everything just went through so well.
On Sunday I had the Opportunity to Confirm Maeson and the experience left me with the strongest testimony of the 2nd part of the Baptismal ordinance. After church we went and visited with the Tew family and visited some other less active members. Elder Jensen and I went to a fireside that the 2nd ward was having about missionary work. We received a new investigator Liz there and also found out some great news that Brother Phillips will be getting Baptized in 2 weeks.
This week has been so great and I found out that I am able to stay here in Crestview for another 6 weeks and it is going to be awesome.

Regan September 8, 2009
This week has been really fun and as I have continued to Strive for Exact Obedience the power has been so real.
Monday after P-day we went over to Sister Sheets house and we had the opportunity to administer a blessing to her before she went into surgery. She is less-active and I know that this blessing could help change that. We then went to the Royce home and gave Misty's brother and Kevin a blessing. Kevin is switching to some new medicine and the Doctors are taking a few tests so him and house mom wanted comfort and direction from the Lord.
Tuesday we spent the start of our day in Baker dropping off a referral and we then went and tracted. We talked with Patricia and she is interested in the stop smoking program so we will follow up with her. We then went to the Bernier's home and administered a blessing to Sister Bernier because she just had surgery on her foot and she hasn't been doing to well. We also gave Sister Gray a blessing because she has been feeling very tired and ill lately. Elder Jensen and I then went with Elder Smith tracting and talked with a great lady but she was really busy at the time. I went on trade-offs with Brother Lesher and visited a few less active families.
Wednesday we started the day off at District Meeting and it went great. I really do feel that the Missionaries the I am serving around are striving to be the Best preach my gospel missionaries. We stopped by Telisha house and talked with her a minute to see how she was doing and then went and visited Napitre and taught a first lesson. We then went and talked with Dexter Marchman and offered service and we helped him on Saturday with planting trees and trimming shrubs.
Thursday we started the Day and really planned and set some goals that were going to stretch us. We talked with Trudy and set up an appointment with her for later this week. We visited the Woods and offered service. We then had dinner with the Koester family. Chris was there who is Erin's non-member boyfriend. We have been teaching him with her but she has now left for BYU-Hawaii. We then had activity night and there were 5 non-members there.
Friday we went over to Sister Toolans and called ward members and invited them to the day of service that the ward does the 1st Saturday of each month. It went well and we were able to call and invite many member both active and less-active. That night we had dinner with the Horst family and invited them to fast this Sunday to know who they could best help become acquainted to the church.
Saturday was a service day with no room for breaks. We ended up doing service for 9 families when we were doing it as the 2nd ward service day and then we went and helped 3 other families that we had scheduled with. We helped the Fehlmans, Dexter Marchman, and the Angeles family. I enjoyed every minute of service because I made sure that I was in the right attitude to really Love those whom I served. It felt great working hard to help everyone and I know the Lord was grateful for the service we rendered. We then had dinner and they invited 3 investigators over with there families and it went great. We had a great time and the spirit of friendship was strong.
Sunday we had 3 investigators at church but we are working hard on inviting everyone to come. We had a few appointments fall through for the day but were able to find less actives and members to visit before dinner. We went to the Nelson's home for dinner. We then went to the Royce home for our Nightly family prayer and only Kevin was there but we pressed forward and had a great prayer with him.
I am so grateful for the the Restored Gospel and the power of the Priesthood. I have never felt so blessed as I was this week in being able to administer blessings. My testimony has been strengthened so much and my faith has been increased because I felt the influence of the spirit on each and every blessing and it brought peace and comfort into the depths of my soul.

Hello,
Sorry last week something happened with the computer so I wasn’t able to send it. Well if your going to ask how the week went it was pretty rough. I'm just trying to be optimistic about life. Our golden investigator who we have set a baptismal date for the 13th, came intoxicated to our last appointment. We have taught him all the lessons but with the Xhosa traditions they believe in worshipping their ancestors. He has grown up this way and sacrificing animals so there ancestors can take them to god, is what he continues to believe. The date obviously will be postponed. Even though many miracles have happened in his life from reading the Book of Mormon he continues to believe in the traditions of his fathers. We committed him to take it to God and pray sincerely to know if the things we teach him are true. The eternal principal of agency is what he must learn and use wisely, it is sad to see but many people are not acting for themselves but being acted upon. Pray for him that he can find an answer. Pray for the Beals family as well. We had a fast with them this past week to help them find job opportunities and good health for their baby. They have been one the great blessings in my life for being in Hermanus. Please if you will, call the missionaries and feed them something cheap this week or next and give them referrals. After zone conference last week Elder Burridge and I received the call that Elder Manuwere will be with us as well. He came from Mdantsane but he is from Zimbabwe so we are in a threesome. I like it for the most part but it is very tight quarters and hard to be on time to appointments. We have been pretty sick this last week but we are better now. A lot of people who we come in contact with have been sick but it is just part of the end of the winter. How is the family doing? Send some pictures.

Regan August 31, 2009
On Monday we did a lot of cleaning in the apartment and got rid of a lot of things that we didn't need anymore. We had dinner with Bishop Roberts and it was great. We shared a little family home evening with them and we all sang beautiful songs with not much harmony. But the spirit was so great and to see the smiles on their children's faces brought me to a deep compassion. We went to Misty's home to start evening prayer with their family daily. We also administered a Blessing to Maeson because she wasn't feeling well.
Tuesday we had district meeting and the spirit was very strong as we bore our testimonies and strengthened each other. We started trade offs and Elder Jensen and I went with Elder Gudmundsen to Defuniak. We biked about 15 miles and tracted. We talked with some great people. We had dinner with the Howard's and after did some service for them.
Wednesday we did some Arts with some of God's precious disabled children. We then biked another 18 miles and tracted. We found a few potentials and I hope they are excited to learn. We had dinner with the Cosson's and then ended the Trade off.
Thursday we planned for this upcoming week and then went right out to visit all the referrals that we had been receiving. We set return appointments up with 2 of them which was great. We did service for a member at his sisters home who is not a member. I was grateful to be able to help with that. We had trade offs with the High Council that night and visited less active members in the 1st ward. We had a meeting with Brother Strickland about the missionary work in all the areas.
Friday we went for our return appointments with the referrals and they weren't able to talk at the time so we tracted and found Telisha a Lapitre. We taught Telisha the 1st lesson and she loved it. We visited Robin Owens on of our referrals and taught her the stop smoking class and she is doing good.
Saturday we taught Telisha again and it went great. We went and did service at the Fehlman's and it went well also. The 2nd ward had an activity and there were 30+ non members there. It was great.
Sunday I went to Paxton and gave a talk on service. They only had 10 people at the Branch today. We then taught Junior Dukes and Clyde the Plan of Salvation and it went great. There were 9 investigators at church in the 2nd ward.
This week has been great because we have been able to teach and help our Heavenly Father children.

Wednesday we did some Arts with some of God's precious disabled children. We then biked another 18 miles and tracted. We found a few potentials and I hope they are excited to learn. We had dinner with the Cosson's and then ended the Trade off.
Thursday we planned for this upcoming week and then went right out to visit all the referrals that we had been receiving. We set return appointments up with 2 of them which was great. We did service for a member at his sisters home who is not a member. I was grateful to be able to help with that. We had trade offs with the High Council that night and visited less active members in the 1st ward. We had a meeting with Brother Strickland about the missionary work in all the areas.
Friday we went for our return appointments with the referrals and they weren't able to talk at the time so we tracted and found Telisha a Lapitre. We taught Telisha the 1st lesson and she loved it. We visited Robin Owens on of our referrals and taught her the stop smoking class and she is doing good.
Saturday we taught Telisha again and it went great. We went and did service at the Fehlman's and it went well also. The 2nd ward had an activity and there were 30+ non members there. It was great.
Sunday I went to Paxton and gave a talk on service. They only had 10 people at the Branch today. We then taught Junior Dukes and Clyde the Plan of Salvation and it went great. There were 9 investigators at church in the 2nd ward.
This week has been great because we have been able to teach and help our Heavenly Father children.

Regan August 24, 2009
Monday was a really good p day for us. We were able to go to a members home and make them and there family some great food. They really enjoyed that we did that for them. We then had dinner at Bishop Price's home with his kids and grand kids. The message for family home evening was a strengthening in my life. Such simple but profound verses in the Children's Songbook allowed me to see the examples of Missionary Work of those diligent servants in the Book of Mormon.
Tuesday was a great Zone Conference. I never have felt more peace while giving a blessings than being able to be a participant with Sister Stowers blessings. I know that the Lord was present and was strengthening all of our testimonies. There were many things that I learned and have applied throughout the week now. I have strived to be even more obedient and I have felt the power and strength that has come into my life. I was astonished on how sudden and powerful that experience was and I am not going to turn away from it again. We went on splits later that night and Elder Jensen and I went and visited the Toolan family. There daughter is going to be baptized this Saturday.
Wednesday we went and mowed a Sister Thomas's yard because she has been feeling ill. We shared a message with Sister Henderson who is less active but has a grandson that is 8 and wants to be baptized so we are going to be working with her to come back to church and bring him with her. We then went on splits and Elder Barlow and I went and visited Martin with Brother Ballard. He had many questions concerning the Priesthood and then asked us if we could give his wife a blessing. The spirit was very strong and we all felt the spirit in our hearts. Elder Jensen went with Chris Mozina and taught Brother Phillips. He is doing great and progressing well towards baptism.
Thursday we started off planning and it went really well. Companionship Inventory with how it is set up now is really a strengthening tool behind Unity. We stopped and talked with the Reeves family and they invited us to have dinner in a few weeks and will be inviting their non-member friends so they can introduce them to us. We went and saw the Royce family and they are doing alright. They have been having struggles but with scripture study and daily prayer as a family they will only get stronger. We had activity night and had a few investigators there and it went well.
Friday we had a lot of service planned our but quickly had to change everything because it all got canceled. I have now gained a testimony on how important backup plans can be and that they are so important. We went and tracted for quite some time, but didn't find anyone. We went to the Walkers and shared a message with there family.
Saturday we had breakfast with the Sanders and then went to Kennedy Toolan's baptism. There were around 75 people there and about 15 non members and we are teaching 5 of them. Hopefully we will teach a few more. We are getting the appointments set up this week. We went and taught Junior Dukes with Sister Toolan and it went well. He has committed to baptism but has December 31st or September 15 in mind. His brother in-law Clyde was there and he sat in the lesson and has agreed to the return appointment the next time we go over. We will be talking with him in a few days on what he decides. We tracted for a few hours and found a potential that we will be visiting today and hopefully be able to talk with his wife.

Hello family,
Whats happening around in Utah? Well this week has been pretty good, it has had its ups and downs but it has been well. We have found a lot of new investigators this week since the excuses are getting old. We were able to find 12 new investigators this past week. Our golden investigator is Sibulele Ntida and we have good news that he wants to be baptized on the 13th of September, with the time that we have, it will help us to teach him clearly so he understands everything. He has grown remarkably since I have known him and he has experienced miracles in his life from reading the book of mormon and praying. He is originally from King Williams town and he came from some rough places but Awonke his cousin is taking him underneath his wing. Through his prayers he is going far and a couple weeks ago he was able to find a landscaping job in Voeklip where all the holiday homes are located. He loves to read the book of mormon and has a great interest of learning more about the gospel. The mormon helping hands is coming up this Saturday and we look forward to attending that. President Mackinnon’s son will be teaching some of the kids who are in townships how to preserve the waste of their food to use for compost. President Mackinnon is a master gardener and he hopes it will help these people, to grow there own food and use the food that they waste that is laying on the roads. It is going to be in Stanford and there is going to an estimate of about 70 kids at the project. It is an African wide project but this is what particularly the Hermanus branch will be doing. This winter has been unusually warm for the most part but Hermanus is getting more packed as time is getting closer to the whale festival. The whale festival lasts for a few days but will give us the opportunity to speak to people from all across the world. A couple of weeks ago their was kids in high school from England who was watching the whales. Portia was able to be transferred to the Hoosta hospital which was good news for her but we must now find another place to do our family home evenings. We are leaving today to travel up to Kyalitcha to stay at the zone leaders place for the upcoming zone conference tomorrow. My trainer Elder Sheasby is one of the A.P.s now so I will be able to see him since I was trained. Today Elder Burridge and I are buying a dog annoyer, we are getting tired of the township dogs chasing us around. The south African dogs are not small either they eat raw meat for their meals.

hello family,
Well this week has been good but unfortunately me and Elder Pauna had to separate our ways. He is going to be working in Bellville and I will stay in Hermanus for another transfer. My new companion is Elder Burridge he is from the land down under as well. President Probst must know that I hate these auzie people. HaHa. There are only four Astrailian missionaries in all the South Africa missions and 3 in Cape Town. I have been able to serve with the two of them in the mission. Elder Burridge though is a friend of Elder Paunas and he is from Sydney Australia. Things are going pretty good though. We have continued to work with Thomas and he left again for another tour in Nambia but we set the goal for him to eventually be baptized and receive the Aaronic Priesthood and baptize his son in the future. Hopefully it will help give him some encouragement to keep the word of wisdom and have the honor of baptizing his boy who turns 8 soon. He feels like he cant do it but I know that he can because he is humble. We have been working with Sibulele as well and he wants to be baptized. We don't have a set date with him yet but we hope to set one this week for 3 weeks coming so we have time to teach the him all lessons. Mama Galicapa left to Eastern Cape this past week but will be back in a months time. Sometimes it is hard to teach a lot of our progressing investigators because they're leaving all the time. We have been having family home evening at Portias home but this past week we found she had TB. She is trying to be admitted in a hospital around here but their crap, but she is being referred to the Hoosta hospital for TB patients but beds are full, please pray for her to be admitted into a hospital. We have been spending a lot of time at her home, Elder Pauna thought we should be checked but I don't think its to much worry because we've been vaccinated. We were able to give her a blessing which hopefully will help her in her recovery. She is a strong member and you can see through her faith and scripture study anything is possible. A recent sickness around the area is the swine flu and we just hope we don't come across it with all the people we meet. There is miracles that we see everyday some you really have to ponder and reflect upon but they do happen when you put forth effort. Elder Burridge and I have been studying Jesus the Christ and today we also have been learning about listening. I believe the most important tool you have as a missionary is listening. I can truly get better at it but it is tough, I have realized that everything you do as a missionary, people are looking and watching, even with preferal vision. You may think they're not watching but they see all and they don't care about how much you know but how much you care. Well have a good week.

On Monday we went and visited Sister Nitsche in the Hospital. She seems to be doing a bit better and is able to start to eat a little bit. We then went and visited a few members and got appointments set up at their house later on in the week.
On Tuesday we had District meeting here and we had some great role plays that Elder Tolley had us do. We have started to try and use them when sharing a message with members. We tracted on Skyline Drive with Elder Brian from Niceville. We had some great contact but no one was interested at this time. Later we had splits with the High Priests. Elder Barlow and I went with Brother Horst and visited Martin and also Gavin and he accepted the Book of Mormon that we gave him.
On Wednesday we went to Sister Woods and did service at her house for about an hour. We then went to the Toolan's home and taught Ben and Regan the Restoration and it was great. Ben was very attentive and was excited to learn more. We then talked with Brother Bond for a a minute and he brought us over some food. We then went and visited Brother Hutchins and he has started smoking again so we will continue to work with him.
On Thursday we started off the day planning because we were not able to do service because it got rained out. We then went and visited less actives and visited Dexter Marchman. He came to church last week and enjoyed it. We were able to answer all of his questions he had. We then went to activity night and talked with a few investigators that came.
On Friday we visited Sister Nitsche and she is doing really good. We then went and tracted and stopped and talked with the Drysdale family and chase is doing really good. We will hopefully be able to go to his house and talk with his family. They are planning on coming back to church when his dad gets back from his business trip. We then spent another couple of hours tracting and talked with a couple of great people that we are hopefully going to be able to go back and visit them. We then went and talked with the Kimball's and will be visiting them in a few weeks when he gets back. We also visited the Sheets family. They are having allot of family problems and we keep them in our prayers daily.
On Saturday we did service all day at it went really well. We were able to help other accomplish things that they have been hoping to do for weeks. We had dinner with the Colvin family. They are really great. We then visited Brother Sheets in the 2nd ward and also talked with Martin and he wanted to come to church.
On Sunday we had 9 investigators at church in the wards. We had also allot of less actives that we have been inviting and other ward members. We also got an appointment set up with Junior Dukes and he wants to get baptized. His wife has been a member for years and he just told us that he wanted to get baptized. It is way awesome and was kind of a shock at the same time. We visited a few less actives that live close and found out that 3 of them have moved so that really helped the ward out. We had dinner at the Mozina's home and then went and gave Sister Thomas a blessing because she has been feeling under the weather.

Regan, August 10, 2009
Monday started of real well with our studies and really trying to get down into a better system. That way we will more effectively be taught by the spirit and be better prepared for each and every new day. We received a call and we were able to administer a blessing to Sister Nitshce. She has been having some complications. Her faith is very strong and she has such determination and Love even with her trials of being blind.
Tuesday we had district meeting in Defuniak. It went real well and we were able to look over and discuss some of the new things for this upcoming Zone Conference. We visited Marty and he is doing well and has now committed to the stop-smoking program that we will be teaching him this coming week. I am very excited that he is willing to take this step. We had dinner at Patriarch Hansen's home and it was great. We then went on trade offs and visited with a few less actives and set up appointments for the next week.
Wednesday we had transfers and we split up and some of us went tracting and others went and talked with others. We did not have any success but our desires were there. We then went and tracted and as we stopped at the road we had some great divine intervention. As we were walking to our first house to knock Martin walked out and asked us to come back later that week to teach him. I knew that God directed us specifically to him that day. We also found Julius but his parents told us no when we called back yesterday to see if the appointment with his family was still good. We then went on splits and Elder Jensen and I went to a less active member and they needed some help putting some stuff together.
Thursday we planned and figured out some goals that would be good but would still stretch us. We then went and did service for the Fehlmans and discussed in Moses 6 after. We also helped the Sheets with some service.
Friday we went and finished tracting all of the street by Martin and that area and we found Henry and Gavin. We have appointments set up with them and are looking forward about teaching them the Gospel. We went on trade-offs and visited more less actives with member and it went real well.

We visited less actives for the rest of the day and we ended up with 3 of those families coming to church the next day.

hello,
This letter will be short, we are going to help the Beals on a project in Sandbaii with helping paint a home. Things are still going quite slow for their business, but the few projects they have this month will help keep food on their table. This week went really well. Lungiswas and Cokiswas confirmation went good to. Transfer week is this week. Thomas Pechen got back from his latest trip and we look forward to teaching and helping him this week. We hope to set a goal for him that he can be baptized soon and then receive the Aaronic Priesthood to baptize his son Benjamin who is turning 8 in December. Pray for him if you would. He has come a long way and We are looking at a potential of about 4 baptisms by Oct-Nov. We also look forward to helping Class Pheiry put in doors in his home this week. We have many great appointments this week to help our investigators keep progressing and to help them along. hope all is well. have a good week.

Lungiswas and Cokiswas confirmation went good to. Transfer week is this week. Thomas Pechen got back from his latest trip and we look forward to teaching and helping him this week. We hope to set a goal for him that he can be baptized soon and then receive the Aaronic Priesthood to baptize his son Benjamin who is turning 8 in December. Pray for him if you would. He has come a long way and We are looking at a potential of about 4 baptisms by Oct-Nov. We also look forward to helping Class Pheiry put in doors in his home this week. We have many great appointments this week to help our investigators keep progressing and to help them along. hope all is well. have a good week.

Well this week started out with a few doubts concerning Kevin's Baptismal interview but by the end the Lord's peace and comfort was surrounding us all.
On Monday we had a good p-day getting things prepared. We went to Misty's house to confirm with Kevin about his Interview the next day. We visited with the Parson's later that night and discussed the families needs and how we could best help them with service and letting them feel of the love the Savior has for them.
On Tuesday district meeting went well. The spirit directed me and everyone really was uplifted and the spirit edified us all. I then went with Elder Tolley and Smith to Kevin's for the Interview. It went real well and he is ready to be baptized. We then went to Defuniak and spent the rest of the day visiting less active and past investigators. We tracted a few streets and there were some who we found as potentials.
On Wednesday we came back to Crestview and helped a member with service because they were moving from the Crestview 2nd ward to Niceville ward. We were able to help them accomplish all that was needing to be done and they were grateful. I love feeling the love of our Savior as we give Christlike service. We visited Brother Hutchins who has been participating in the stop tobacco class we did and he is one day short of a week without and doing great. We then went to Misty's and talked with Kevin about the baptism and we were able plan out the whole program. We had dinner with the Linares family and will be offering service to them here shortly. She is a single mom who is working 3 different Jobs. I went on splits that night with Brother Horst and we visited Sister Dukes and her husband who is not a member. He did end up coming to church.
On Thursday we planned and talked with everyone for the baptism and everyone was more than willing to accept. We visited Sister Woodard and had a great lesson on temples. That is her goal is to achieve to go to the temple. She is still working with her bosses to get Sundays of so she can come to church. We visited the Walkers and answered questions they had concerning things they had heard. They have been less active but are excited to begin their habit of coming to church again. We finished to night of with Activity night and had some investigators there.
On Friday we had Lunch with Brother Fisher which was great. He always has some great experiences to share about his mission. We then went and tracted through some awesome rain. I enjoyed doing the Lord's work of tracting even when the rain was falling. We found Dennis Bottman as a potential and he seems very open to learning. We went on splits later that night and Elder Jensen and I visited with Michael for a few minutes and then talked with our Ward Mission Leader about the Finalizing touches for the Baptism.
On Saturday we traveled up to Laurel Hill after the Conference Call. As we were there we decided to visit those strong potentials we received from last week as we tracted. We were able to set up appointments with Virginia and also the young family of Jeff & Jessica Brown. We then had Kevin's Baptism that went well. Misty invited many non-member friends and we received a few potential investigators. The spirit was very strong and Misty's fiance's heart is continuing to be softened.
On Sunday Kevin was confirmed which was great. We also had Brother Phillips at church and they have decided that probably around the 2nd week of September will be when he gets baptized. We had Sister Fehlman at church for her 2nd time now which is very exciting. We will be setting a date with her next week. Sister Toolan had a few friends at church and she is setting up times this week that we can teach them in her home. We had dinner with the Coleman family and after went out with Grant and visited a few less actives and set up appointments with a couple of them.
I thank the Lord for allowing me to learn and grow. I enjoyed being able to be a district leader and learning how to better love and serve the Sisters and Elder I have been able to serve. I am so Grateful for the Opportunity that I also have to serve her in Crestview for another 6 weeks. It may be my last but the experiences and love that I have felt here of those I have been able to serve and serve with have truly touched my life in so many ways.
